Minneapolis rockers Throw the Fight joins the ranks with Memphis May Fire, I, Omega, Deception Of A Ghost and more with the worldwide announcement of signing with Bullet Tooth Records. The brain-child of former Trustkill Records president Josh Grabelle, Bullet Tooth Records said in an earlier press release, “these guys are stars.
“We’re definitely excited to be working with the label,” Ryan Baustert, guitarist, said. “There’s a lot of cool things in the works.”
These things in the works include their latest album, What Doesn’t Kill Us, slated to drop everywhere June 5, 2012. WDKU includes the smash hit “Not So Hollywood,” which has picked up steam since it was leaked back in late July. A music video for the single, directed by Scott Hansen, (A Day To Remember, I See Stars) is also said to appear in the coming months.
Throw the Fight recorded WDKU during a three-week stint at John Feldmann’s (Atreyu, The Used) Los Angeles studio this past summer.
“The album is done at this point,” Baustert said. “With the exception of mastering and manufacturing. People can expect us to be sticking to what we know in terms of our sound, but expanding on a lot of the instruments.”
The album is said to “run the gamut, stretching across metal and alternative, to just plain-old, white-knuckled rock ‘n’ roll.”
“We just want to thank everyone for all the support over the years and that the band is really looking forward to getting this record out there and touring on it,” Baustert said.
